The front zip does not go all the way up to avoid chafing, and the ends of the collar overlap to keep the warmth inside. Aramid reinforcements with stretch on the shoulders ensure durability and abrasion protection from backpacks and equipment. The edge of the arm openings is reinforced with an elastic edge tape.
